Tartarian Honeysuckle

Common name: Tartarian Honeysuckle

Scientific name: Lonicera tatarica

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/2-3/4" (1.5-2 cm) long
    Plant height: 4-10' (120-300 cm)

Blooming period: May-June

Habitat: Thickets and field edges

Description: White, sometimes pink, deeply lobed flowers, 2-lipped, paired rising from leaf axils on tall, erect, branching shrub. Corolla tubular, hairy inside, with 5 petal- like lobes somewhat irregular in length. Flower stalk 1/2-1" (1.5-2.5 cm) long. Leaves 1-2" (2.5-6.5 cm) long, smooth, egg-shaped, slightly heart-shaped at base. Honeysuckle family. (May 31)
