Everlasting Pea

Common name: Everlasting Pea (Perennial Pea)

Scientific name: Lathyrus palustris

Dimensions:
  Flower: ½-1" (1.5-2.5 cm) wide
  Plant height: Up to 6' (2m) creeping or climbing

Blooming period: June-September

Habitat: Roadsides, thickets, weedy places

Description: Pink or purple sweet-pea like flowers in long-stalked racemes of 4-10 flowers. Stems are broadly winged. Leaflets are in single pairs, lance-shaped or elliptic, 1-3" (2.5-7.5 cm) long, accompanied by tendrils. Lane-shaped stipules. Escaped from cultivation. Pea family. (July 6)
