Common name: Red Clover

Scientific name: Trifolium pratense

Dimensions:
    Flower: 1/2-1½" (1.5-3 cm) wide
    Plant height: 6-24" (15-60 cm)

Blooming period: May-September

Habitat: Old fields, meadows, lawns, and
roadsides; very common

Description: Dense, rounded heads of magenta or purple pea flowers. 3 leaflets each 1/2-1" (1.5-2.5 cm) long often showing a pale chevron. Pea family. (June 15)
