Scientific name: Trifolium arvense

Dimensions:
  Flower: ¼" (6 mm) long
  Plant height: 4-18" (10-45 cm)

Blooming period: June-August

Habitat: Roadsides, weedy places, especially light, sandy soil

Description: Tiny pea flowers in dense, fuzzy, grayish-pink egg-shaped or cylindrical heads about ¾" (2 cm) long. Long fine hairs on sepals give the cluster its fuzzy appearance. Plants freely branching, soft silky-hairy. Leaflets 3, relatively narrow, ½-¾" 1.5-2 cm) long, broader toward the tip, toothed only at tip. Native of Europe. Pea family. (June 25)
